Tibma Design Build's Team Approach to Professionalism
Our company has a collaborative approach to business that recognizes
the contribution of each team member. We encourage and train each
member of the team to perform their individual role as effectively
as possible. Professionalism is a critical element in our formula
for success and we are proud to be members of the:
National Kitchen and Bath Association, National Association of Home
Builders and National Association of the Remodeling Industry. Through
these affiliations, Tibma Design Build remains up- to-date on
industry trends, product innovations, and construction techniques.
In order for each member of the team to maximize their potential, we
believe in contributing to their personal and professional growth.
As part of the company's commitment to education, our entire team
attends the Journal of
Light Construction Conference in Providence each year. We also
encourage them to participate in other seminars and courses that are
geared to their particular role within the company.
Dan and Mary Tibma attend the National Remodeler's Show with more
than 10,000 other remodelers, builders and architects for
educational courses and
exhibits from over 350 companies with new products for the
remodeling industry. Also, they attend meetings of the Remodelers
Advantage Roundtables, an industry think-tank for remodelers.
Fifteen remodeling executives from across the nation meet and
provide each other with input and advice on how they can continually
improve the products and services each
company offers.
Working together as a team and emphasizing professionalism in all
areas of the company, we are able to guide each client
systematically through the remodeling process in a manner that
develops trust, confidence and pride. The end result is a remodeling
project that perfectly expresses each client's individuality.

Dan Tibma
President
Winner
of 2005, 2003 and 2001 PRISM Awards from the Builders Association of
Greater Boston as well as the 2006 Contractor of the Year Award from the
Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of the
Remodeling Industry, Dan Tibma puts his 25 years of construction
experience to good use.
Dan grew up in a homebuilding family and graduated college
with a degree in Construction Management. He has worked in both the
commercial and residential construction industries and is licensed as a
home improvement contractor and general contractor. As President of Tibma Design Build, Dan is responsible for overseeing the Production
team, and collaborating with clients to visualize the possibilities for
their home. Dan sees a distinct connection between these roles.
“Developing a complete vision of the project is a critical and often
underestimated part of the process”, says Dan, “as proper planning makes
it possible for the construction team do their job efficiently.”
“The planning process should go beyond a floorplan and address both the
lifestyle demands of the client, as well as their preferences for style
and color,” says Dan. “The integration of these two elements is critical
in creating a space that perfectly suits the client and is just as they
visualized it.” When not remodeling the homes of other families, Dan
enjoys spending time with his own family, as well as sailing, and
hiking.
Mary Tibma
Operations
and Marketing Director
“I
enjoy remodeling because you develop ideas that change peoples’
surroundings and you end up improving their lifestyle,” says Mary Tibma.
“You have the ability to change how people feel about themselves and
their home. If you start your day in a kitchen or bath you love, it can
affect your outlook on the day.” In her marketing efforts, Mary shares
past clients’ experiences in an effort to make the same experience
available to all area homeowners remodeling their kitchen or bath. Mary
oversees the operations of the business and is responsible for
developing and implementing systems and product enhancements. In
her spare time, Mary enjoys sailing, gardening, and playing with her
three children.
Brian O'Leary
Estimator

As Tibma's Estimator, Brian is actively involved in the design process
for
each project and gives constant cost-feedback to the design team and the
client. He develops allowances for each product that needs to be
selected
and monitors the choices that are made by the client and the design
team.
He makes sure to stay within the project's budget and provides budget
options if the client wants to accommodate a "must-have" product. In
addition, he reviews the schematic designs and makes sure that any
issues
are addressed by the design and construction team; resulting in a
comprehensive set of plans for the project. Brian makes sure that
construction crews have the information and materials that they need to
get the job done on-time and on-budget. Brian's experience in project
management and systems development ensures that the details of each
projects design get carried out in the field. His focus is on providing
each client with exceptional results and a high level of satisfaction
with their remodeling experience. Brian enjoys sports, especially hockey
and golf and spends his weekends relaxing with friends and family.
Laurie
LaRosa
Administrative Assistant

Laurie's title of Administrative Assistant hardly captures the important
role that she plays in our company. She is the first person that a
client speaks to when they call our office and she serves as a valuable
contact for them throughout the process of designing and remodeling
their home. She
keeps clients informed of upcoming meetings, prepares information on our
services, updates product selections and supports the Production team
during construction. Not only does her pleasant nature and great
"can-do" attitude radiate in everything she does, but she completes each
task with a sense of style. Her degree in retail fashion merchandising
and coursework in interior design comes in very handy in working with our design
team. Laurie loves working with the team and is a terrific asset to our
office staff. Laurie loves to cook, read and shop! Time with her family
is very important to her and she enjoys visiting with them.
